Bangkok day 2-temples galore

We had another successful day here in bangkok! We started our day by going to this shady part of town to get Adam a custom made suit. This was definitely one of the highlights of our day! This store, raja's fashions, is legit. It is family-owned and has been open for 47 years! It came highly recommended from one of Adam's good friends who got a suit made here a few years ago! Adam chose the fabric, lining and style of the suit. Of course I had some input and the owner's daughter helped us too!

Then we headed to the chao phraya river and rode a boat to see the most famous wats (temples) in the city!

Inside wat phra kaew! Lots of bling at this wat!

Massive reclining Buddha!

After visiting the temples and getting a massage, there was a massive rainstorm! it was very scary especially since we were boarding a wooden boat when the storm hit! I may or may not have freaked out! Ha! I thought my husband was going to disown me for a second there! Anyways we made it back to land and ran thru the rain to the amazing mandarin oriental hotel! Looking like slums and soaking wet, we got questioned by the hotel's security about our intentions at the hotel! We talked our way in to have a drink at the famed bamboo bar! We also waited out the storm here!

We ended our day eating authentic Thai at a charming restaurant called harmonique! This restaurant came recommended from my grandmother's good friend who is from Thailand!! Below is a picture of how they served our pad Thai! Great presentation-never seen it served this way before!
